These cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

September 19: 

STEPHEN PEACOCK, 48, of Northumberland Avenue, Reading, admitted stealing £317 worth of T-shirts from House of Fraser in Reading on September 1. Given a conditional discharge for 18 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge. Must also pay £50 court costs.

AKASH RAJ, 30, of Josephine Court in Reading, admitted drink-driving on Berkley Avenue in Reading on September 1. Found to have 84mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £733 and ordered to pay £73 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.

CAITLYN TEENEY, 25, of Send Road in Caversham, admitted drink-driving on the A4 Bath Road on September 5. Found to have 46mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

PHILIPPA WALKER, 29, of Palmera Avenue, admitted assault by beating of a police officer in Calcot, Berkshire, on August 30. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £50 court costs.

KELLY STACEY, 30, of Hearn Road in Woodley, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Hearne Road, Woodley, on August 21. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

September 20:

ANDREA STOUTE, 37, of Sandringham Way, Calcot, admitted driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence on A4 London Road, Reading, on May 22. Also admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance on the same occasion. Admitted failing to surrender to Reading Magistrates’ Court on two occasions on June 6, and June 19. Admitted driving a vehicle on the A4 London Road while disqualified from driving on May 22. Admitted assault by beating at Tesco Express in Oxford Road, Reading, on April 2. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity requirements, and ordered to pay £400 compensation. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

LAWRENCE PALMER, 44, of Wrenswood Close, Whitley Wood, admitted stealing £25 worth of Kinder Bueno chocolate from Coop in Whitley Wood Lane on November 24. Admitted stealing a curling wand worth £49.99 from Sally Salon Services on April 27 in Reading. Fined £99.99 and ordered to pay £74.99, plus £30 victim surcharge.

SEBASTIAN NIEWIADOMSKI, 25, of Prince Wales Avenue, Reading, admitted criminal damage to a Toyota Corolla vehicle in Reading, on August 10. Also admitted three charges of assault by beating of three police constables in Reading on August 10. Admitted causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, namely punching and kicking police dog PD Diesel in Reading on August 10. Also admitted criminal damage worth £200 to a Fiat 500 in Reading on August 10, and criminal damage of £133 to a Ford Transit on August 10. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity requirements and 150 hours of unpaid work. Must also pay £85 court costs and £583 compensation.

ALEX CARGILL, 48, of Oxford Road, Reading, convicted of not being in a designated compulsory ticket area on a railway, failed to hand over a ticket for inspection and verification of validity when asked in Reading on March 19. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £15.10 compensation, plus £30 court costs.

MWANGO CHANDA, 40, of Addington Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on the railway without a valid ticket in Reading on March 11. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £25.10 compensation, plus £30 victim surcharge.
