TRAINS to and from Reading are running approximately 30 minutes late thanks to a signalling problem with a Great Western Railway service.

The signalling issue happened at around 6.20am, causing a knock-on effect with later services.

The GWR service between Reading and Gatwick Airport is affected, with delays and cancellations expected to continue until 2pm.

GWR tickets are being accepted on local bus routes.

South Western Railway (SWR) services from Bracknell have been affected while waiting for GWR services to move along from platforms, as SWR enters its second week of strike action.

It is advisable to check which services are running ahead of planning a journey.
