A CHRISTMAS crafts event is being held at Reading's Metro Bank this weekend.

The bank, in Broad Street Mall, will be holding the event on Sunday December 8 and the whole family, including pets, are invited.

Festivities will kick off at 12pm until 4pm where children will be able to decorate their very own seasonal stocking ready for Christmas.

Metro Man, the bank’s mascot will also be making an appearance, complete with his Santa hat on.

Ian Walters, Managing Director of Retail and Business Banking at Metro Bank said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting our Christmas event again this year, where all the family are welcome.

"Our regular community events such as this perfectly demonstrate how Kids Rock! at Metro Bank.

"We wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.”

This event is being held at 70 Metro Bank stores across the country.

Metro Bank will also be holding a kids’ stocking s‘Elf’ie competition where one lucky winner will receive a bumper pack full of Metro Bank goodies.
