The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:


September 12: 

STEPHANIE DOOLE, 34, of St Andrews Close in Newbury, admitted drink-driving in Church Street, Hungerford, on August 28. Found to have 56mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £250 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

MATTHEW DORAN, 43, of Kendrick Road, Reading, admitted stealing three bottles of Smirnoff Vodka worth £45 from Marks and Spencers in Reading. Given a conditional discharge for 18 months and ordered to pay £45 compensation. Also ordered to pay £85 for court costs.

MICHAEL EVA, 46, of Willow Street, Reading, admitted failing to comply with a community protection notice after being found begging in Reading on August 29. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

STEPHEN SADLER, 23, of Newtown Road, Newbury, admitted possession of cannabis in West Berkshire on October 27. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge. Must also pay £85 court costs.

WAHEED SHARIF, 38, of Anderson Avenue, Earley, admitted stealing a purse and its contents in Reading on May 14. Given a community order to comply with 50 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

PAUL LEWENDON, 35, of Gaywood Drive, Newbury, admitted assault by beating in Newbury on August 4. Given a conditional discharge for 24 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge. Must also may £85 court costs.

SARAH VICKERY, 49, of Flambards, Caversham, admitted three charges of assault by beating of three police officers in Flambards, Caversham, on August 21. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and must pay £90 compensation.

September 13: 

DARREN BENNETT, 51, of Heroes Walk in Reading, admitted stealing a Nest video doorbell in Reading on June 1. Ordered to pay £250 compensation and £85 court costs.

DANIEL CAWSEY, 40, of Carey Street in Reading, admitted possession of cocaine in Reading on September 11. Also admitted possession of Heroin in Reading on September 11. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

SCOTT LAURIE, 30, of Meadowsweet Close, Thatcham, admitted assault by beating of a police constable at Thames Valley Constabulary in Mill Lane, Newbury, on September 11. Sentenced to prison for eight weeks as offence as it was a ‘nasty attack on an officer’. Ordered to pay £100 compensation and £122 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

SHABAN AHMED, 29, of Whiteknights Road in Reading, convicted of failing to comply with red light signals in Bagshot Road, Bracknell, on September 13. No points on licence as court accepted the driver ‘was having a sneezing fit when he went through within one second of the red light changing’. Fined £170 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.
