POPULAR, award-winning curry house The Zyka have even further cause to celebrate after making the finals for the British Curry Awards.

Just over a week ago, the Tilehurst restaurant was named as the 'best in Reading' at the annual Curry Life Awards.

Tonight (Monday, November 25), employees will be heading to another awards ceremony under the category of 'best newcomer', as the restaurant reopened under new management two years ago.
A Zyka spokesman said: "The process started with around 6,000 entries and having gone through the rigorous vetting criteria - including sharing our five-year-plan, a video presentation, staff work history and training and more.
"We're now in the final, which has around six or seven restaurants from across the entire UK."

Responding to the restaurant's last accolade, residents had only good things to say, with one commenting: "It genuinely is the best Indian restaurant I've ever been too. Amazing food."
