A HUGE police presence has been spotted in Reading town centre following the conclusion of a controversial inquest.

A swarm of officers were in Friar Street attempting to control a crowd of people after 'disorder' around Reading Coroner's Office.

The commotion broke out after the conclusion of an inquest into the death of Aston Mclean Williams who died after being hit by a police car during a chase in 2014.

At least ten police officers created a human chain outside the coroner's court, which is based in Reading Town Hall, with a number of other officers and three police riot vans at the scene.

Pictures from outside the court show officers creating a human barrier along the street outside O'Neill's bar.
