Emily, an eight-year-old Beagle, raised Lyle, a two-year-old Harrier, since he arrived in her home as a puppy and the pair adore each other.

They love to snuggle up together in the same bed and don’t like to leave each other’s side.

Antony Dominy, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, said: “This ‘pawsome’ duo are great fun and it’s lovely to see the bond they have.

"We would love to see them find a home together as they are totally inseparable. "Although Lyle has had a great teacher in Emily, he would love a home where his new owners can continue his training.

"He is a very bright boy who will do anything for a tasty treat!

"Whilst Emily may need a refresher as she settles into the home, she too enjoys a treat or two.

“They both love brain games and are happy to learn, Lyle especially loves to keep his mind busy.

"As they settle into the home they could be left for a few hours, if it is built up slowly. Emily and Lyle could live with children aged 11 years and over who don’t mind bouncy dogs.

"They are ok with other dogs on walks but would like to be the only dogs in the home.

"These two could sweeten up your home and heart, they are so much fun to be around and have a lot of potential.

"They will be wonderful family additions.”
