Just in time for the winter lights switch on, Haslams is in the festive spirit with their decorative snow windows.

Quickly becoming a feature to look out for on the Reading high street during the colder season, the windows this year have an exciting new theme.

Having grown up in Reading, the windows pay homage to Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear. The loveable, if sometimes sticky, bear features on the front window of Haslams’ office in a charming snowy scene.

As many people who are well versed in the history of Reading will know, the Haslams office is the former home to the Reading Gas Company and features the large original windows, which are perfect for displaying the seasonal artwork. As well as Paddington Bear, the windows also feature an old Riviera train, which inspired Michael Bond to write his stories and bringing in a modern twist, the new Elizabeth Line train is also shown pulling into the Reading station.

Haslams are once again partnering with Launchpad and offering the chance for people to help the local charity which supports the homeless, by buying gifts for the “Giving Tree”. Even Paddington Bear has a gift for Launchpad on his wishlist.

The windows, created by the aptly named Snow Windows, will be in situ until the end of the year.
