The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

September 5:

MARCIN BIELAWSKI, 24, of Cholmeley Road in Reading, admitted stealing £32 worth of gift sets from Boots the Chemist in Reading on November 28, 2018. Also admitted failing to surrender to Reading Magistrates' Court on December 13. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Must also pay £85 court costs.

MICHAEL GORDON, 31, of no fixed abode, admitted criminal damage to a door on May 4 in Reading. Also admitted assault by beating in Reading on May 4. Given a community order to undertake rehabilitation activity. Also made subject to a restraining order and must pay £85 victim surcharge.

DANIEL TRUNDLEY, 35, of no fixed abode, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not keeping in touch with the courts on May 8 and May 16. Fined £40.

DANIEL HARE, 42, of no fixed abode, admitted driving a van without the correct insurance on Park Avenue in Thatcham on August 19. Fined £120 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge, plus £50 court costs. Eight points added to driving licence.

TRACY PURVES, 31, of Newtown Road in Newbury, admitted stealing £173 worth of alcohol from Waitrose in Thatcham on May 19. Also admitted stealing alcohol worth £194.50 from the same Waitrose on May 18. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £367.50 compensation.

NIGEL SEYMOR, 62, of St Mary's Way in Burghfield Common, Reading, admitted drink-driving in St Mary's Way, Burghfield Common, on August 21. Found to have 86mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £250 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

KERRIN TAYLOR, Oak Tree Road in Tilehurst, Reading, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis on August 22 in Reading. Fined £385 and ordered to pay £38 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 24 months.

GEORGE LUCAS, 23, of Downside in East Ilsley, Newbury, admitted criminal damage to a door of Park Way Shopping Centre, Newbury, on February 7. Given a conditional discharge for 24 months and ordered to pay £250 compensation. Also ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

September 6:

PAUL GATT, 44, of Oxford Road, Reading, convicted of intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or over in a sexual manner without consent on November 14, 2018, in Reading. Sentenced to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 24 months, reason stated as 'acted in a group and made homophobic comments'. Ordered to comply rehabilitation activity, plus 180 hours of unpaid work. Must also pay £200 compensation.

CONSTANTIN DASCALU, 40, of Tamarisk Avenue in Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending unpaid work on June 10 and June 19. Original offence was a conviction of failing to provide a specimen when driving a vehicle in Newbury on February 18. Sentenced to prison for six weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to undertake 104 hours of unpaid work.

MAMOUDOU CAMARA, of Auckland road in Reading, convicted of keeping a vehicle which was unlicensed in Reading on February 8. fined £220 and ordered to pay £200 court costs.

JOHN KYERE, 39, of Sorrel Drive in Warfield, Reading, convicted of using a car on June 28, 2018, which was unlicensed. Fined £220, and ordered to pay £3.34 vehicle excise back duty. Must also pay £200 court costs.
