CLOSURES are expected to cause some delays on the M4 this week due to multiple road works.

Work is underway to improve the carriageway to create a 'smart motorway'.

From Wednesday, November 13, J12 (Theale) on the M4 westbound will be closed from 9pm to 5.30am Thursday.

The M4 westbound J12 entry slip will be closed as well as a lane closure on the main carriageway due to Smart Motorways.

Diversions via Highways England will be in place.

On the M40 southbound J14 - J13 (Newbury), carriageway closures for maintenance works will be in place from 8pm - 5am tomorrow.

Thursday

J12 (Theale) westbound will be closed, as well as J14 to J13 (Newbury) will be closed from 8pm - 5am.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

On Friday, the M4 from J8/9 through to J6 will be fully closed heading Eastbound, as well as in the opposite direction between 8pm and midnight. A full diverision will be in place.

The closure will run until 5.30am on Sunday.
