Dog walkers and parents have complained about apparently "aggressive" horse and cart riders using a popular open space in Loudwater.
Wycombe District Council says it is working with police to "resolve the issue" of horses and carts racing on Kingsmead Recreation Ground after numerous complaints from members of the public.
One parent told the Bucks Free Press on Monday she had to walk with her baby through the muddy woodland to avoid the riders as they allegedly hurtled across the park.
She said: "In half term they were riding through the middle of children's football games. They have been very aggressive and hurled abuse at dog walkers - even elderly people.
"The field is a mess and mud has been raked up."
"It is very intimidating. Police had been down there but they said there is nothing they can do. And Wycombe District Council doesn't seem interested. I tried to report it by calling them but I got cut off."
In a brief statement, a spokesman for Wycombe District Council said: "We are working with the police to resolve the issue.”
