TRAVELLERS are still residing at Longbarn Recreation Ground in Whitley, six days since they first arrived.
The Antisocial Behaviour team confirmed they are in the process of trying to secure an eviction.
A spokesperson said: "We are actively seeking possession of the land through our legal team.”
The travellers arrived on November 6 and at that time there were four caravans and one campervan at the park, according to the council.

A nearby resident expressed his concerns.
John Chilton said: “You cannot take your grandkids up to the park because there has been trouble with their kids shouting and swearing at other kids.
“Parents don’t take their kids to the park anymore.”
A large group with eleven caravans was previously removed from the site in July.
