A THIRD man has been arrested following the armed police raid in Thatcham.

It comes after officers were spotted in the quiet neighbourhood reportedly forcing entry to homes around Hartley Way on Thursday.

The armed police force, some with police dogs, confirmed they were called to a fear for welfare about 11.30am.

Two men, a 19-year-old from Newbury and a 23-year-old from Thatcham, were arrested on suspicion of affray that day.

Police today confirmed a third man, a 21-year-old from Thatcham, has also since been arrested on suspicion of affray.

All three men have been released under investigation.
