READERS expressed their disgust at the news of an Oxford Road shop selling food deemed 'unfit for human consumption' - but how many others in the area have poor hygiene ratings?

It was revealed yesterday (October 23) that food infested by maggots was seized from De Dora’s Lovely Fashion Shop last month.
The store sells food as well as clothing, and was rated a one for hygiene by the Food Standards Agency.
More than a quarter of Reading's 42 one-star eateries are located on Oxford Road.
And a fifth of the 108 restaurants and takeaways on Oxford Road have two stars or lower.

Of the 108 food establishments listed with hygiene ratings on Oxford Road, 45 of these had a rating of five; 25 had a rating of four; 16 had a rating of three; 12 had a rating of two and 10 had a rating of one.
