THREE teenagers were taken to hospital after being attacked with broken glass bottles by a group of men on bicycles.

On Saturday, October 19, the three boys, one aged 16 and two 17, were approached by the group while sitting in the bandstand in Forbury Gardens at around 7.45pm.

The group assaulted the teenagers with sticks and broken glass bottles.

One of the victims suffered a deep laceration to his face, as well as other cuts and swelling to the head.

The other two also sustained injuries and they were all taken to hospital for treatment.

They have all since been discharged.

Currently, there is no further description available of the offenders.

Investigating officer, detective constable Marius York, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, which resulted in one of the victims sustaining grievous bodily harm level injuries.
