A CONCERT will be held to remember and honour PC Andrew Harper early next year, organisers have revealed.

The concert will take place across two evenings at Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey, on February 16 and 17, 2020.

The event will raise money for two charities, Police Care UK and the Police Widows and Orphans Fund, both chosen by PC Harper's family.

28-year-old PC Harper died whilst responding to a burglary near Sulhamstead in August and various fundraising events have been organised in his memory.

Organiser, Mo Stoner, expects there will be many high profile guests, revealing that television presenter Nick Knowles will be the concert's compere.

He added that he has contacted or is in contact with various celebrity artists who he hopes can perform at the concert including Mel C and Ed Sheeran.

He said: “This is going to be a huge event.

“It will be the concert of the year."

He added Lakeside has been "absolutely brilliant", offering them the venue completely free of charge.

Tickets, which are expected to cost around £45 per person, have not yet been released online but Mr Stoner is urging people to ring Lakeside Country Club to reserve them before they sell out.

He explained the Police Federation will be emailing serving and retired officers to tell them about the concert, which he believes will cause an influx of reservations.

For those who can't make the concert, a DVD will be released following the event.

Mr Stoner is encouraging artists to get in touch if they wish to perform.
