MORE than one million pounds was raised in last year's Poppy Appeal in Berkshire.
An impressive £1,073,777.61 was raised in the county, with the Facebook group Turn Tilehurst Red for Remembrance Sunday posting the announcement on October 1.

The appeal will soon be relaunching across the country for this year's Armistice Day on November 11.
The post read: 'Berkshire and The Vale Royal British Legion Poppy appeal total 2018/2019: £1,073,777.61.'
Many were pleased to hear the news of the amount raised, with some commenting on the post.
One resident said: "Fantastic news, well done!" while another added: "Congratulations to the residents of Tilehurst and all those involved, very well done."
