POLICE have released CCTV images of two men who may have vital information following as assault in Reading.

A man was left with an eye injury after being assaulted by a group outside the Metro bank in St Mary's Butts at around 11.50am on Friday, September 13.

He was punched in the face and fall to the floor, hitting his head.

He did not require hospital treatment but sustained an eye injury.

The victim had reported that he and his partner were previously in the Vue cinema in The Oracle shopping centre, and had been threatened by the same group of offenders.

After leaving the cinema, they then encountered the group in St Mary’s Butts when the assault took place.

Investigating officer, PC Colin Boyes, of Reading police station said: “I am releasing this CCTV image of these men as I believe they may have vital information regarding this incident.

“If anyone recognises them, or you think you might be pictured in this image, please get in touch with police.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting 43190284085.”
