OKTOBERFEST is returning to Reading next month at a brand new venue and we've got all the details.

Where and when will the festival be held?

The three day beer festival will be held at Hills Meadow on October 10th, 11th and 12th after moving from its former home at Station Hill.

Sessions include:

  • Thursday evening: 5-11pm
  • Friday evening: 5-11pm
  • Saturday afternoon: Noon-5pm
  • Saturday evening: 6-11pm

Oktoberfest organisers Jonathan Ware and Anthony Ellis said: “We launched Oktoberfest Reading in 2017 after  visiting the Munich festival and loving the concept.”

“The  atmosphere is like nothing else we’ve seen, loads of people in fancy dress enjoying Oompah music, traditional food and German biers. It’s great.

“We launched this year’s event online a few weeks ago and have already sold over 50% of the tickets. It’s going    to be another sold out show for sure.”

What food and drink will be on offer?

Reading Chronicle:

Across the festival there will be authentic biers and visitors can also enjoy a range of wines, Prosecco, cider and soft drinks.

Oktoberfest wouldn't be complete without traditional German food and this year Bratwurst sausages, Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln (German Pan Fried Potatoes) and Bavarian Pork are on offer.
