Oktoberfest organisers Jonathan Ware and Anthony Ellis said: “We launched Oktoberfest Reading in 2017 after visiting the Munich festival and loving the concept.”
  Â
“The atmosphere is like nothing else we’ve seen, loads of people in fancy dress enjoying Oompah music, traditional food and German biers. It’s great.  Â
  Â
“We launched this year’s event online a few weeks ago and have already sold over 50% of the tickets. It’s going   to be another sold out show for sure.”     Â
What food and drink will be on offer?
Across the festival there will be authentic biers and visitors can also enjoy a range of wines, Prosecco, cider and soft drinks.
Oktoberfest wouldn't be complete without traditional German food and this year Bratwurst sausages, Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln (German Pan Fried Potatoes) and Bavarian Pork are on offer.
What entertainment can people enjoy?
The festival will showcase live music, Oom-pah bands, singers and dancers helping to create a huge Bavarian party.
