ARE you ready for a magical adventure? A Harry Potter experience is coming to Reading after hundreds of fans voted for the town to be selected.

The "Wizarding World Wands" experience will see nine, 15 foot tall magic wands stand tall in the town.

Each night, the wands will illuminate to music from the Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter films.

The installation was created in support of the children's charity, Lumos, set up by Harry Potter creator, JK Rowling, to end the institutionalisation of children around the world.

The visit forms part of a national tour where the wands will appear in four different regions across the UK in the lead up to the release of the third Fantastic Beasts film which arrives in UK cinemas on in November, 2021.

You may recognise them as they appeared in London at St Paul's Cathedral, last autumn.

Fans voted in March for Reading to be a host and after their success, discussions have begun about when and where the wands might appear in town.

The tour will begin in Hull - the city with the most votes - and will also appear in Stoke and Birmingham.
