LEGENDARY comedian Jasper Carrott will Stand Up and Rock at The Hexagon next month.

The 2019 tour will see the comic back on the stage with a new stand up show alongside his musical compatriots, the Bev Bevan Band that have been ‘rockin’ audiences all over the world.

As well as being Jasper’s mate, Bev is founding member of The Move and ELO and has one of the finest band’s around - with special guests including 60’s star Geoff Turton from the Rockin’ Berries.

The tour - which has taken in venues like Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre, Dudley Town Hall and Crewe Lyceum - has picked up rave reviews.

Gig Junkies wrote: “There was something surprisingly quite magical about tonight. The pure undeniable quality of Jasper Carrott’s comedy, the thundergod legend that is Bevan.”

The comedian will bring his show to The Hexagon on Saturday, September 7.

The unique show gives audiences the opportunity to see and hear great artistes belting out a night of classic songs and Jasper back where he belongs - on the stage making people laugh.

A career that has spanned five decades first started when Jasper became resident compére at the Boggery Folk Club in Birmingham in the mid-seventies.

There he discovered his talent for comedy, and his inability to sing - the rest, as they say, is history.

A hugely popular stalwart of the British folk club scene, his comedy single Funky Moped shot to the top of the British pop charts in 1975, establishing him as a household name overnight.

The flipside was his take on the legendary Magic Roundabout, a record still sought out today by a whole new generation of fans.

The comedian is also well-known on the screen - he starred in Back to the Front, a six-part series in 1999 which Bob Monkhouse called “the finest stand-up comedy on television” and family sitcom All About Me from 2003.
