POLICE have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Reading.
At around 10.30am on Thursday, July 18, a man in Coral Bookmakers on Oxford Road approached the counter and asked for a glass of water.
As the member of staff at the counter turned around, the offender grabbed the coin tray from the till.
The staff member managed to grab the tray but the contents fell on the floor and the offender picked up what he could and ran out of the shop.
Investigating officer, PC Paul Leader, based at Reading police station, said: "I believe the man in this image may have vital information about the incident and could help with this investigation.
"I am also appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has information about this incident to come forward.
"If you think you know the man in this image, or you believe it could be you, please call police on 101, quoting reference 43190219403, or make a report online.
"Alternatively, you can make an anonymous report to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
