A TEENAGE boy was approached by three offenders who stole his Reading Festival wristband on Saturday, August 24.

Police are appealing for the victim to come forward.

At around 6pm, the victim was was approached by three offenders on bicycles outside The Moderation pub in Caversham Road.

One of the offenders then used a white plastic bag to put over the victim's wrist, removing the wristband.

He then walked away in the direction of Reading railway station, before two witnesses spoke to him and reported the matter to police.

Investigating officer, PC Phoebe Clarkson, of Reading police station, said: "I am appealing for the victim in this case to come forward and speak to police.

"It was a frightening experience for him, and I am appealing for him to get in contact with us to provide us with some information to help with my investigation.

A 47-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with this incident. He has been released on police bail until September 18.
