A 50-YEAR-OLD man has died after he fell from his bicycle and suffered fatal head injuries.

The incident happened at around 11am on August 7 between the B3031, Basingstoke Road and Whitley Rise.

He was rushed to hospital after he was discovered on the floor with head injuries at the junction between the two roads.

The man died on Wednesday, August 14.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a man died following a fall from his bicycle in Reading.

He was a white man of large build. and the bike he was riding was a racing green flat handlebar Claud Butler mountain bike.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help establish events leading up to the incident.

Investigating officer, PC Wayne Reece of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a really sad case where it appears a man has fallen from his bike and suffered fatal injuries”.

“Although we don’t think the man collided with a vehicle, we are working to piece together the facts of how he fell from his bike”.

“Given the time of day, we believe there is a real possibility someone saw him in the build up to the incident”.

“We would ask those with private CCTV in the area, or motorists with a dash-cam to check if there is any footage of the man described.
