Police have launched after a 17-year-old boy was kicked in the head after a man accused him of stealing his bike in Wokingham.

Last Saturday, between 4.45pm and 5pm, near to The Ship Inn on London Road, the victim was pushed off his bike by a man who accused him of stealing the bike.

After this, the 17-year-old attempted to cycle away but was subsequently chased into London Road by the man who then attempted to take the bike and subsequently knocked the victim to the floor and kicked him in the head.

Passers-by stopped to help the victim and the offender ran away in the direction of Wokingham town centre.

The victim received minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a white man, in his late twenties to early thirties, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build with short, light brown hair with stubble. He was wearing a green hooded-top and was carrying a black rucksack.
