A MINUTES silence will be held later today in memory of PC Andrew Harper after he was killed trying to stop a burglary last week.
At 11am, Thames Valley Police will fall silent to honour the memory of the 28-year-old newlywed, who lost his life attending to reports of a burglary near Sulhamstead on the A4 between Reading and Newbury.
Thousands of colleagues, family, friends and wellwishers paid tributes since PC Harper's death, along with police forces up and down the country.
The force made the announcement yesterday.
A police spokesman said: "We will be holding a one minute silence across the force tomorrow (23/8) at 11am in memory of PC Andrew Harper.
"Please be aware that these are private events and we kindly ask that the privacy of our officers/staff is respected across the force."
Flowers and special notes have been laid down near to where the the police officer was killed last Thursday (August 15).
The force have also set up a dedicated email address for anyone who wants to pay their respects to PC Harper.
In a statement a force spokesman said: “We’ve been moved and would like to thank everyone for the condolence messages we have received since the tragic death of PC Andrew Harper
"We will at the right time be passing these to his family.
