MOTORISTS faced long delays on the A34 southbound, after a crash near Abingdon this afternoon.
The road was 'blocked' and there was heavy congestion after the accident, which involved a car and a lorry between the A4183 Oxford Road and A415 Marcham Road (Marcham Interchange).

All three emergency services were on the scene, according to one driver, who said it looked like the central reservation had been hit and one lane was blocked.
Traffic has since returned to normal and all lanes have been reopened.
Google Maps at around 12.50pm suggested traffic was moving extremely slowly, roughly between around Shippon and Sunningwell, with queues building.
The length of the queues was similar by around 2pm, but the congestion had cleared by 2.45pm.
In a tweet, Oxfordshire County Council told motorists to expect 'long delays'.

It is unclear if anyone was seriously hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, roadworks in central Oxford are continuing to cause long delays.
