A NEW exhibition of artwork will be shown in Caversham from next week by an artist inspired by the sea.
A gallery of work by Phil Allen will be featured at The Caversham Picture Framer.
The exhibition will be an opportunity to see Mr Allen’s work that is inspired by the sea’s everlasting movement.
Mr Allen has taken many trips up and down the Pacific Coast Highway in California and so decided to replicate this fantastic scenery, with its rugged coast and turquoise to deep emerald seas, and to capture the movement of the ocean in a piece of furniture.
He selects English woods, such as Yew, London Plane, Cedar, Elm, and Oak, using them to represent land and coloured resin replicates the ocean.
A selection of Phil Allen’s artworks will be on display from 6th to 29th August 2019.
