THE demolition of Friars Walk is truly underway as plans go ahead for the Station Hill development.
The former shopping centre is being torn down to make way for the 500 new homes which will soon be constructed on the site.

Plans were recently approved to recreate the site to deliver new routes linking Reading Station to the town centre, as well as providing of news homes, office space and a hotel.
Developers say that all of these uses will be knitted together via landscaping and new public spaces, including a new pocket park and public square with the capacity to host community events
