As temperatures soar to 37 degrees, many in the town are enjoying some of Reading's best green spaces to unwind and enjoy the heat.
Today (Thursday, July 25) has broken the record as the hottest ever July day, and as experts give tips on how people can keep themselves and their pets safe
during the heatwave, Reading's Forbury Gardens saw several basking in the hot temperatures, or enjoying a walk along the grass.

The sun comes at a good time for youngsters, as many of Reading's schools broke up for the 6-week holiday this week.
People are being urged to be cautious in the sun and drink plenty of water as temperatures continue to rise.
