A MAN in his twenties is in a life-threatening condition following a serious crash in Reading.

At around 2.30pm on Monday, July 15, there was a collision between a Vauxhall Astra car and cyclist in Kings Road, Reading on the eastbound carriageway.

The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The driver of the car, a woman in her thirties, was not injured.

Investigating officer PC Belinda Simpson of the joint operations unit for Roads Policing, based at Three Mile Cross, said: "Our thoughts at this time are with the family of the man seriously injured in this collision.

"We are investigating the circumstances of this incident and would ask anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.

"If you have dash-cam footage from the area, either in the lead up to the collision or of the collision itself, we would really like to review the footage."
