A READING martial arts instructor has won a prestigious national award for his achievements.

Richard Tovee, 48, owns Lone Wolf Martial Arts Academy in Reading, and has been inducted into the UK Hall of Fame after being nominated by the Directors of the UK Martial Arts Show and winning.

He won the award for his role as a martial arts instructor and for becoming a multiple world champion over the past three years.

Richard runs his academy with his wife, Pam, and his three daughters Jasmine (11), Reena (13), and Preeya (15).

The academy teaches a range of abilities and ages from four to 60 years old.

Alongside this, Richard still trains and competes at an international level, representing Great Britain.

From 2016 to 2018 he attended two World Championships and won four World Championship Titles in kickboxing and karate, which he was being awarded for.

Incidentally, Richard, Pam and Preeya are all black belts and Reena and Jasmine are grading for theirs later this year.
