The trains are usually formed of between eight and 10 carriages but today only five are being used.

Great Western Railway have been responding to complaints on Twitter, stating that repair work is the reason for the inconvenience.

Jake, running the Twitter account, replied to a comment, saying: "I am sorry for your recent experience with our services

"Today your service was short due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time, following disruption last night."
