A masked man shot at a car at Black Park Country Park before fleeing the scene in an Audi. 

Panicked visitors to the popular country park phoned 999 after hearing gunshots on Friday afternoon. 

Police now say a man shot at a VW Touareg that was parked in the car park at around 12.30pm on July 5. 

It is believed the man arrived in a silver Audi that then drove off after the shots were fired.

The VW Touareg also drove away from the scene.

The man in the silver Audi is described as white, between 20 and 30-years-old, around 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build.

He had short brown hair and was wearing a mask that covered the bottom half of his face.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Glen Turner, based at Aylesbury police station said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“This is a very serious offence and we would urge anyone who has any information, no matter how insignificant you think it is, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time to check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured the silver Audi or VW Touareg.

“We understand this to be an isolated incident and believe there is no threat to the wider community.

“Thames Valley Police are conducting a thorough investigation into what has happened. Thank you to everyone who has come forward already and are helping us with our enquiries."
