THERE is jazz, a Jailhouse Rocker and more to look forward to at South Hill Park in Bracknell this month.

The arts centre will be filled with the sounds of jazz, jukebox classics and disco jams throughout July.

For classical music fans, the West Forest Sinfonia will play a concert of chamber music for flute, oboe and strings on July 7.

Audiences will be able to enjoy music by some of the world’s greatest composers, with works by Mozart, Vivaldi and J.C.Bach.

On July 21, Westminster Chamber Orchestra, featuring 50 professional players will dazzle the crowds with classics by Smetana, Beethoven (Emperor Concerto), Grieg and Tchaikovsky, with opera ariasby Verdi, Bizet and Wagner.

Elvis fans will be able to relive the story behind the king of rock ‘n’ roll’s music with The Elvis Presley Story on July 18.

Travel with the boy from Tupelo through his teenage years in Memphis, tentative footsteps into Sun Records studios, to his meteoric rise.

Delivered in a ‘show-umentary’ format, this show features energetic renditions of That’s All Right Mamma, Don’t be Cruel, Heartbreak Hotel, Love Me Tender and more.

Meanwhile, on the grounds of South Hill Park on July 19 comes a celebration of music from the 1960’s at the Summer of Love – Celebrating the Music of the Sixties.

Don your flairs, tie dye shirt and headband as five piece 60’s soul band The Self Preservation Society, psychedelic rock trio The Apache Kites and flower power singer songwriter Rosie Eade perform live.

The event is free but charity collections will raise cash for South Hill Park arts Centre’s work with the community such as Dementia Friendly Screenings and youth activities.

And bringing you the incredible music of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler to a ‘Tunnel of Love’ near you is Fake Straits on July 25.

Dale Harris leads the band as they play all the hits including The Walk Of Life, Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Lady Writer, Twisting by the Pool, and more single and album tracks.
