They will take place on Friday, July 12 at 5.30pm - 8pm and on Saturday, July 13 from 10am - 2pm.

Inspired Villages specialises in creating unique communities which encourage social, physical and mental activation, where residents can celebrate the independence of later life with the benefit of flexible care arrangements if and when required.

The proposals will deliver housing-with-care for the district’s over 65 population, a demographic which - according to the Office for National Statistics - is expected to rise from 27,000 (in 2014), to 44,000 in 2039 in the local area, putting increasing pressure on housing supply.

The retirement village is expected to support up to 70 new jobs during construction and operation.

Neal Dale, development director at Inspired Villages, said: "We are looking forward to meeting with the local community and introducing our proposals.

"Our approach to retirement living is designed to enable individuals to remain independent in their own homes for longer and to create villages that are reflective of local character, community-focused and secure.

"We hope local residents are able to attend one of our events to meet with members of the project team and find out more about our proposals."
