A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was threatened with a knife and punched in the face in broad daylight during a robbery.

On Monday, June 10, at around 7.25am, the victim was approached by two men in Cowsey Wood, close to Whitley Road.

One of the men took his bike and the other man threatened him with a knife, demanding that he hand over his bag.

When the teenager refused, the man who had taken his bike punched him in the face.

The other man took the bag and both offenders ran off in the direction of Whitely Wood Road.

The victim did not require hospital treatment.

The offenders are both described as white men, aged in their twenties and approximately 6ft tall.

The first offender was wearing light blue baggy jeans, a black zip-up hooded top and a black baseball cap.

The second offender was wearing blue tracksuit bottoms with white stripes running up the leg, a black zip-up hooded top and a grey baseball cap.

Investigating officer PC Colin Boyes, based at Reading police station, said: "I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information that could assist us with this investigation to please come forward.

"I would urge motorists who were in the area around the time of the incident to check any dash-cam footage in case they may have captured anybody matching the description of the offenders."
