More than 500 people have signed up to take part in the fantastically foamy Bubble Rush at Prospect Park next week - and there is still time for you to sign up.

Taking place on Sunday, June 9, this will be is the first year local children's hospice Helen and Douglas House has held the Bubble Rush in Reading.

The race is a 5k frothy family fun run with a difference – thousands of multi-coloured bubbles.

With entry open to all ages, participants can walk, run, or even toddle the route.

The Bubble Rush mirrors the ethos of the local children's hospice by celebrating living life to the full and bringing smiles and laughter to everyone taking part.

Pushchairs and wheelchairs are also welcome.

Hazel Bedford, from Helen and Douglas House, said: "By taking part in our Bubble Rush you will make a real difference to the lives of local terminally ill children and their families from the Reading area.

"It costs £3 million a year to run our hospice and provide our community nursing service to help families at home and we cannot do this without your help.

"The money raised at the Bubble Rush events in Reading and Oxford this year could pay for our sibling support programme for one year so that children facing the future without their brother or sister can come together play and discuss their feelings with others going through the same thing."
