A MAN has been arrested after a van was reversed at speed into the front of a pub.
The George and Dragon pub in Reading was forced to close after the incident, which happened at around 9pm on Monday.
Thames Valley Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from Oxfordshire in connection with the crash.
The pub, on Bath Road, was closed throughout Tuesday and a police cordon was set up while officers carried out enquiries.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of conspiring to destroy/damage property, assault by beating, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and theft of a motor vehicle.
Nobody was injured during the incident and the man has since been released on police bail.
