REPAIRS are due to be carried out on Whiteknights Road next Tuesday (May 28).

The improvement works are scheduled to last four days and have been timed to take place during the half-term holiday.

The project will see substantial areas of patched and resurfaced between the junctions with Upper Redlands Road and Holmes Road.

Councillor Tony Page, lead member for Planning and Transport, said: "These improvement works will inevitably result in a certain amount of inconvenience and therefore I'd like to thank residents in advance for their cooperation and patience."

Whiteknights Road will be closed between 8am and 6pm and access for residents will be maintained where possible.

While the road is closed, parking will not be allowed and any parked vehicle may be removed.

Access for residents in Green Road will be via Wokingham Road, as the bollards will be removed during the times of the road closure each day.

The council has written to residents in the area giving advance notice of the works.
