A MAN who tried to break up a fight outside a takeaway has been punched in the face in Reading.

The incident happened between 3.30am and 4am on Monday April 3 where there was an altercation between two men outside Perfect Chicken and Ribs on St Mary’s Butts, Reading.

Another a man in his twenties tried to break the fight and was punched in the face by one of the men.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Hugh Bailey, of Force CID in Reading, said: “We are releasing CCTV images of two men who may have vital information in connection with this incident.

“We would ask the men, or anyone who recognises the men to please contact us.”

The victim suffered a broken jaw and attended the John Radcliffe Hospital. He has since been discharged.

Thames valley Police have released CCTV footage of two men who may have vital information relating to the assault.

Police are urging anyone with information to call 101.
