PRIMARY schoolchildren celebrated the unveiling of a new learning space, designed for music, art and cookery classes.
Hermitage Primary School's multipurpose classroom came as a result of a £153,000 project, which was funded by West Berkshire Council (WBC).
Gill Turner, head teacher at Hermitage, said: “We’re delighted with our new classroom.
"It will not only free up much-needed space within the main building to allow dedicated intervention and support space, but will enable us to offer an even broader curriculum for our pupils.”
As well as a new classroom, the children have access to a kitchenette and disabled toilet.
Ian Pearson, head of Education at WBC, added: “We are very pleased to have been able to fund this great multi-purpose building.
"The benefits are clear and I hope that everyone at the school will enjoy their new learning space.”
