Last month, we brought you the full list of crimes committed in the Reading policing area, street by street.

And for our latest delve into Thames Valley Police figures, we are bringing you a map of EVERY crime reported since the start of the year.

TVP has published figures for January to March only, and the map below shows the location of every crime reported, what category of crime it was, and the status of the investigation.

How many crimes and what were they?

From January to March, there were 3703 crimes logged by officers.

Here’s how the numbers break down by crime type:

The most commonly reported crime type is ‘violence and sexual offences' at 1170, followed by 437 of anti-social behaviour and 375 ‘other’ theft.

What are the most common locations?

The most common location for crimes committed were supermarkets, with 204 crimes logged. 79 were for shoplifting. 

There were 130 offences at petrol stations including 79 thefts, and police dealt with 126 incidents at nightclubs.

55 of these were for violence or sexual offences.

The road with the single most crimes logged against it is Cheapside, with 41 between January and March.
