POLICE have released footage of a dramatic high-speed chase through Woodley in which a 'reckless' 21-year-old in a van reached speeds of up to 70mph.

Luke Joseph, of Raleigh Close, Woodley, was jailed for almost two years for a string of motoring offences at Reading Crown Court on March 25.

This video shows the moment he was stopped after leading police on a chase through residential streets.

The charges were: dangerous driving; driving while over the prescribed limit; driving while disqualified; driving without insurance and possession of a class B drug – cannabis.

Police posted a video of the chase as Joseph led officers in a frantic dash while driving a blue van.

Officers said: "You might find this footage interesting."

He was eventually stopped and arrested.
