A MAN is wanted by police for stealing ink cartridges worth nearly £2,000 last Thursday (March 7).

At around 11.40am on March 7, a male entered Sainsbury's in Hectors Way, Newbury with a cool bag.

The man picked a number of ink cartridges from the shelves before fleeing the shop without paying.

The ink cartridges were worth more than £1,800.

Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of the person they would like to speak to in connection with the theft in Newbury.

Investigating officer PC Louise Eaton, of the Smarter Resolution team based at Newbury police station, said: “I am releasing these images as I believe the person in the CCTV footage may have vital information that could assist my investigation.

“I am urging anybody who recognises the person to contact the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43190079022.
