POLICE investigating the tragic double death in Bucklebury have formally identified Paula Meadows, 85 and Anthony Meadows, 84, of Chapel Lane, Bucklebury, West Berkshire
Officers were called to the property at around 7.35pm on Tuesday, April 2.
Officers discovered that a woman and a man, both in their eighties, had died, and said on Wednesday that they are treating the incident as a murder suicide.
Specially trained officers continue to support the family at this difficult time.
An initial post-mortem has been undertaken, but at this stage a cause of death has not yet been determined and further tests and examinations will be carried out.
Senior investigating officer, detective inspector Sally Spencer, of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: "We continue to make enquiries in relation to this tragic incident.
"I would like to reiterate that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with our enquiry but we would advise anyone with concerns to speak to one of our officers."
