A DEVOTED mother from Reading will be holding a charity craft day in memory of her late son, who took his life after suffering from mental health problems.

On April 26, Angela Ludlow will host a day of fundraising at the URC church in Armour Road, Tilehurst, from 9.30am to 3pm.

All proceeds will go to Mind in Adam Ludlow's memory.

Angela said: "This is the second such event.

"The first was held last September and raised more than £880 for Mind.

"Mind is supporting the event.

"Those attending have the choice of making a tumbling teacup, or vase of Kusadama flowers.

"There will be complimentary tea, coffee and cakes all day, donated by the URC church.

"People are welcome to drop in for a chat if they do not want to stay all day.

"The event is free and all that is asked is that participants make a donation to Mind.

"We hope it will be a very enjoyable day and offer company and friendship.

"Mental health is so tragic and hard to cope with.

"Adam fought this for most of his life, until he could cope no longer and took his own life in September 2017.

"He would be so pleased that we are holding events in his memory, especially as the proceeds will go to help others with mental health issues, often coping on their own."
