A PERSISTENT harasser has been jailed for breaking into his victims house, breaching his restraining order multiple times.

Andrew Day, 44, from Wokingham was found guilty by a unanimous jury at Reading Crown Court on March 20.

Day will serve a total of 30 weeks in prison for three counts of harassment by breach of restraining order.

The court heard how between October 21 and 26, Day had breached the terms of his restraining order twice, by calling and sending messages to his victim.

On October 23, Day broke into the victims house and spoke to her in person.

He also breached his restraining order for driving his car along a prohibited road.

Thames Valley Police arrested and charged Day, five days later and he was remanded in custody.

Investigating officer, PC Andrea McArdle, based at Reading Police Station said: “Day knowingly breached the conditions of his restraining order, multiple times.

“This behaviour is not tolerated and I hope this sentence shows that Thames Valley Police takes such breaches seriously and works hard to protect vulnerable victims.”
