YOUNGER runners have just as much chance to play their part on Sunday by lacing up for the Green Park Challenge.

The race gets underway at 8.30am on the same start line as the half marathon.

For the first time, the Green Park Challenge will have a pulsed start. Split into two waves, this is designed to ensure there is a safe start for all competitors.

The race finishes in the stadium, from where the runners will head through the finishers’ tunnel

and into the finisher bag area.

Runners are advised to meet friends or family in the centre of the Race Village, or at the Green Park Challenge baggage tent.

Any runner under the age of 11 must be with their accompanying adult at all times.

The first wave, the black wave, will be for children aged 11 and over, while the second wave, the purple wave, is for those 10 and under.

You cannot move forward into a different zone.

Please make sure you start in your allocated zone, as failure to do so will result in disqualification in the Schools Challenge Results.

All competition results for the Schools Challenge will be based on chip time.

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Green Park Challenge.
