MOTORISTS faced delays of up to an hour yesterday (March 16) due to a tree falling down on A329.
The road has now finally been cleared after drivers queued in traffic.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman, said: "We were called at around 5.15pm yesterday to reports that a tree had fallen across the Reading Road, A329 Winnersh.
"A road closure was put in place and Highways Agency attended to remove the tree."
The tree had fallen on the a329 Reading Road southbound towards the M4 motorway.
A yellow weather warning from the met office is in place due to strong winds.
Motorists are advised to take extra care when driving, with delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.
Another tree had fallen on the Bottom Lane junction in Reading.
A live electricity pylon was pulled down and Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks were on the scene to clear away the tree.
Road closures were in place last night, resulting in more delays on the roads.
